Episode 51: I am NOT Neglecting God’s Call on my Life by being a Mother
Have you ever wondered if you're doing "enough" for the Lord being at home with your kids? We are digging into another lie/myth about motherhood today--that maybe there's some outside ministry that's more important than the one to your own family. What does the Lord have to say about this?
Marriage month is coming up! Please send me your questions now so I can add them to our list for June!
Gen. 1:27-28, 31 NLT
So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!
Deut. 11: 18-22 NLT
“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors.
“Be careful to obey all these commands I am giving you. Show love to the Lord your God by walking in his ways and holding tightly to him.”
Numbers 23: 19 NLT
God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
1 Samuel 15: 29 NLT
“And he who is the Glory of Israel will not lie, nor will he change his mind, for he is not human that he should change his mind!”
1 Timothy 3:4-5, 11
He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church? In the same way, their wives must be respected and must not slander others. They must exercise self-control and be faithful in everything they do.
Psalms 138:8
The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
