Episode 6: Mothering with the Holy Spirit

Have you ever noticed how wildly conflicting parenting advice can be? If you’ve read or listened to anything parenting-related for more than 10 minutes, you’ve probably heard conflicting ideas, and have felt a bit confused. But there is a solution!

In my years of mothering, I have gotten a lot of help from wise older women, and from books, BUT they haven’t always been right at any given time. However, I want to share with you today a foolproof, never-fails helper that we all have access to if we are Believers in Jesus Christ: The Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 30:19b, 20b-21 (NLT)

He will be gracious if you ask for help.

He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.

20 [The Lord] will still be with you to teach you.

You will see your teacher with your own eyes.

21Your own ears will hear him.

Right behind you a voice will say,

“This is the way you should go,”

whether to the right or to the left.

Join me today as we discuss how we can hear the Holy Spirit, and learn to listen and apply what He is saying in our practical lives as mothers. You’ll hear a funny story about potty training, and how tickles and squeeze hugs saved the day not long ago.

I answer the question “How have you gotten comfortable in who you are as a mom, which might be different than others?”

I would love to answer your question on a future podcast! You can submit a question here.
