Sometimes life seems so overwhelming

  • Tempting to feel like everything is terrible

  • Before you make any decisions, evaluate your

    • Sleep

    • Emotional connectedness

    • Is there anyone you need to forgive?

      • Yourself?

  • Take the time you need to get centered with the Lord and with yourself before trying to make a big decision—even something as seemingly small as changing your daily routine.

  • Realize that you’re not more productive “pushing through”

  • Rest and recovery from life is needed

  • God gave sabbaths

  • Imagine 24 hours of mandatory rest in a week

  • How can we get to a rested state so we can make decisions and live in a place of rest?

  • Prioritize rest when you can

    • If your kids nap, choose to let the to-do list go once in a while—doesn’t have to be every day unless you want it to be.

    • Call an audible and make one day a nap/rest day for everyone “Friday is a nap day”

    • Find ways to make things simpler in your every day life

  • Say “no” more often if you need to

  • Clear your schedule of things that aren’t mandatory

    • Let your husband go to the grocery store for you once in a while

    • Schedule grocery pick up?

  • Set boundaries for yourself on social media

  • Take time to connect with God
